The Project

Solargraphy
"the art of recording the paths of the sun

Solargraphy is a collection of images by 3 local Photographers, Jesse Thompson, Marc Bongers & Beth Hulley.
Living locally was an inspiration for the project which started 2 years ago. The photographs are produced using a relatively new technique only discovered in the early 90's using a pinhole camera and light sensitive paper.
Cameras were spread through out the North East to pinpoint known and/or interesting sites and left there anywhere from 4 weeks to 6 months resulting in a high contrast, vibrant and unique image.
