Wangaratta born and bred I am 35 and have been behind a camera for over 25 years. I took an interest in photography at a youg age which has grown into a passion and career path which I have supported with my own photography and framing business. Raised the youngest in a family of five, I now have two daughters who are often a subject in my work and an amazing wife michelle who has always supported my creative passion.

 

I knew Jesse at an early age as his soccer coach but was reintroduced in later years and we got along like a house on fire due to our joins interest in photography. Jesse introduce me to solargraphy in 2011 and I immediately loved uniqueness and originality of the genre.

 

when first introduced to solargraphy I was intrigued by the uniqueness, individuality and artistic flare that these images create. The fact that this genre is based on one of the most basic forms of a camera and can produce such a vibrant and detailed image is simply amazing. I soon developed a strong love for this style as it has similarities to my early leanings as a photographer. This is further enhanced by the thrill of not know what the outcome of the exposure would be.

 

I hope that people can undeerstand this basic form of photography but also appreciate the complexity and diverse range of difficulties associated with achieving an image that is printed and hung on a wall.
